There is a New Exhibition "Atomic Dawn: Lincoln County, Trinity, and the Bomb

Paul Pino from the TBDC Steering Committee worked with Dennis Bateman the Museum Director to create the exhibit. The exhibit explores the profound impact of the Trinity Bomb Test and the dawn of the atomic age on Lincoln County and its residents. Through artifacts, archival photographs, and interactive displays, visitors will gain insight into the historical, environmental, and personal legacies that still reverberate today. Attending the opening were Representative Melanie Stansbury, Mayor Hemphill, Museum Director Dennis Bateman, TBDC Steering Committee Members Mary Martinez White, Paul Pino and TBDC Co-Founder Tina Cordova along with many members of the Community. Major funding for this project was provided by the Community Foundation of Lincoln County.

The Carrizozo Heritage Museum, a community-centered institution is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Carrizozo and Lincoln County, and serves as a hub for local culture and history. The museum’s mission is to educate the public about the region's diverse history through exhibits, programs, and events that highlight the area's unique stories, now including its role in atomic history. This collaboration with the TBDC on Atomic Dawn is a testament to the museum's commitment to preserving and sharing the region's complex legacy.
